About 2021 CBMI

Co-sponsored by SACUBO and the University of Kentucky, the 2021 College Business Management Institute (CBMI) was held online for the first time in its 68-year history. Over 530 administrators from 27 states, representing 207 institutions from all four NACUBO regions (CACUBO, EACUBO, SACUBO and WACUBO), participated in the virtual CBMI held July 25-30, 2021. 276 were first-year participants and 254 were returning participants, with 110 of the registrants completing the three-year Institute. Over 50 courses in business and financial management were taught by 33 CBMI faculty. Participants were able to earn up to 26 CPE credits.


CPE Information

CBMI is an excellent opportunity to earn continuing professional credits. Earn CPE credits as you attend courses taught by distinguished faculty who are practicing administrators and leaders in their fields, and network with colleagues from colleges and universities of every size and description. Participants earned up to 26 hours of CPE during CBMI 2021 as they worked to earn a certificate of completion.

Objectives

CBMI is designed to give participants the opportunity to:

  • Discuss the latest issues and topics in higher education
  • Learn how other institutions deal with administrative problems
  • Develop professional relationships with colleagues at other institutions
  • Prepare for a promotion

The Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
