Celebrating a Remarkable FY 2025

As we close the chapter on FY 2025, I am filled with immense gratitude for the incredible journey we have shared. Serving as your President this past year has been an honor, and I am thrilled to celebrate the team’s many accomplishments which were driven by your outstanding Board of Directors in partnership with the SACUBO Office.

This year, we introduced the SACUBO Mentoring Program to foster professional growth and development.

In preparation for our centennial celebration in 2027-2028, we formed the SACUBO 100 Year Anniversary Planning Committee. This dedicated team is working to ensure a memorable and impactful celebration of our rich history and achievements.

New Historian Position
We welcomed a new Historian position (Thank You, Brenna Dixon) to our ranks, ensuring that our legacy and milestones are documented and preserved for future generations.

Permanent Standing Committees
Several ad hoc committees have been elevated to permanent standing committees, including:

  • Best Practices Committee
  • Business Partner Relations Committee
  • Distinguished Service Award Committee
  • Membership & Engagement Committee
  • Policies & Procedures Committee
  • Scholarship Committee

These committees are integral to our ongoing efforts to enhance and support our members.

Inaugural SACUBO Online Webinars
We successfully launched our first series of online webinars, providing valuable insights and professional development opportunities to our members in a convenient and accessible format.

Outstanding Events
Our Fall Workshop in Austin, TX, Leadership Forum in Virginia Beach, VA, Annual Meeting in Miami, FL, and CBMI in Lexington, KY were nothing short of spectacular. These events showcased the dedication and expertise of our members and partners, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We may have to look at increasing venue size for these sold-out events with waiting lists.

Record Number of Business Partners
We are grateful for the record number of outstanding business partners who have invested in our success. Their support is crucial to our mission and growth.

Future Meeting Locations
We have secured future meeting locations well into the future, ensuring that our events continue to be held in premier venues that facilitate learning and networking.

Sold-Out Conferences
Thanks to the efforts of the board and groups like the Professional Development and Constituent Committees and Social Media Posts, our conferences were sold out, reflecting the high demand for the exceptional content and experiences we provide.

Puppies at the Annual Meeting
A special highlight of the year was the inclusion of puppies at our annual meeting, bringing joy and relaxation to our attendees.

Membership & Engagement Success
Our Membership & Engagement Committee has worked diligently to foster a vibrant and connected community, resulting in increased participation and engagement.

Collaboration with NACUBO, WACUBO, CACUBO, and EACUBO
It has been a great year of collaboration with the other regional associations, as well as the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

Partnership with ACUPA
We were thrilled to partner with ACUPA at the Annual Meeting, strengthening our collaborative efforts and expanding our reach.

Joia Beach in Miami
Our Opening Reception event at Joia Beach in Miami was a memorable occasion, combining professional development with a beautiful and inspiring setting.
