Description

This interactive session will engage both presenters and the audience in a thought-provoking conversation. Attendees will hear true stories from those who lived to tell the tale and have the opportunity to share their professional and personal experiences. The interactive session provides ample networking opportunities and creates the environment for attendees to add to their personal “Board of Directors.”

About the Speakers

Preethi Saint, CFO/Vice President for Finance & Business, The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina

Preethi Saint is the CFO/Vice President – Finance & Business at The Citadel. She is a highly accomplished CPA with an extensive track record spanning over 14 years. In her current role, she oversees a broad spectrum of critical areas for the college, which includes: Auxiliary Services, Budget, Financial Service, Human Resources, Procurement, and Student Business Services. She also plays a pivotal part in driving the financial success of the college. Prior to this, she held the position of Associate Vice President – Finance & Business at The Citadel, where she led the Financial Services and Student Business Services function. Prior to her impactful contribution to The Citadel, she accumulated 11 years of invaluable experience at the prestigious Big 4 public accounting firm, KPMG. Beyond working hours, Preethi and her husband are staying busy raising their energetic 4 year old and 10 month old boys.

Deborah Wright, Associate Vice President for Budget and Planning, Texas A&M University

Deborah Wright is an Associate Vice President for Finance at Texas A&M University where she serves as the university’s Budget Officer. Ms. Wright leads and directs the Office of Budget and Planning which is responsible for the coordination of the $2.4B annual operating budget, the biennial preparation of the Legislative Appropriations Request, and the development and oversight of the capital plan.

Ms. Wright holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Master of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University. She has over 40 years of experience at Texas A&M. Prior to joining the Division of Finance & Operations in 2002, Ms. Wright served as the Project Director for the campus Geographic Information System and as a Senior Systems Analyst for Computing and Information Services.

Deborah and her husband enjoy spending their free time with their children and five granddaughters, especially in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
